The Friends of the Ahnapee State  Trail are hosting their second annual non-competitive bicycle event for all ages. Dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Ahnapee State Trail, the Ahnapee Century ride will offer participants the opportunity to travel as much or as little of the trail as they want, with well stocked rest stops along the way. This event will be held on an annual basis and we hope to see it grow to be one of the most popular rides in Northeast Wisconsin.

The Ride: The Ahnapee Trail Century is a 8 to 100 mile bike ride that takes riders through cedar wetlands, farm fields, orchards, and woodlands surrounding Luxemburg, Casco, Kewaunee, Algoma, and Sturgeon Bay. Wildlife abounds throughout  - bald eagles, sandhill cranes, deer, and other wildlife are common sightings along the trail, beautified by colors of the season.

The Course: The course will begin at the Luxemburg trailhead of the Ahnapee State Trail. This trail is a crushed limestone surface and is suitable for just about any bicycle. The trail is very flat, but riders can expect some variation as the trail climbs out of river valleys and passes through some lowlands.
